Albert J. Taylor Jr. honored as First Citizen 2008
Community leaders, colleagues, friends and family recognized Albert J. Taylor as Portsmouth's First Citizen for 2008 for more than 30 years of outstanding volunteer service to his community. A distinguished leader, Rotarian and respected attorney, Al is credited with helping many nonprofits throughout Hampton Roads. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow, serves on the board of the YMCA of Portsmouth and on the advisory boards for The Portsmouth Community Foundation and the Hampton Roads Youth Center.

The Honorable James W. Holley III, First Citizen of Portsmouth 2007 and Mayor of Portsmouth, presented the First Citizen medal to Al Taylor.
